Wellll...

My initial thoughts on Matrix Revolutions
As i said well...
Not really sure what to make of it after all this waiting. Yes I liked it, I've got to get that said straight off. Better than Matrix, no. The Matrix being the original is the best of the series. Better than Reloaded? Not sure. I think I need time to decided which is the better of the last two, time and probably another watching!
Naturally none of my theories turned out to be right, but then I kind of expected that!
However there was the strong theme of ying and yang, running through the film. The balancing of the equation, the fact that agent Smith was the 'evil twin' of Neo, the fact the the oracle and architect where opposing each other and of course the oracles earrings in the final scene!
I'm a firm believer in the philosophy of ying anf yang myself.
Although, interestingly, the ying and yang on the earrings didn't have the seed of the other in them. Is this significant of just the look they where going for?
On the subject of the oracle, the new oracle isn't the a patch on the first. Obviously they didn't have a choice here, the original actress is now sadly dead.
Other random thoughts on the film. The opening section with the train man, station and 'the french man' seem tacked on, like it was added to get them out of a hole they've written them selves in to.
Much more of an ensemble film, with Neo playing a much smaller role in the first two parts.
In the defense of Zion, why didn't they shoot at the drill as soon as it appeared? Jam it in place and you block the route of attack.
Any way tomorrow is the big day, Concorde returns home. This will definitely warrant a log entry!
