Vrigin seeing sense after all?

Virgin undecided on Sky court action: "

Stalemate continues

Virgin Media may not go through with its threat to take BSkyB to court this week, the firm has confirmed.…

After losing a bit ground, Virgin gain some points in the propaganda war.
I sincerely hope that this story is true and Virgin don't drag this thing through the courts. Thats just not the way I would expect a 'nice' company like Virgin to handle things. The evil Sky empire maybe :}
Also Virgin are finally beginning to get their PR campaign together. We now have Virgin posters every where and people in the supermarkets trying to get you to sign up with Virgin.
And for the first since all this started, I got a letter from Virgin last week explaining their side of the story. About time, 4 week to late, but better late than never!
On a related note, I could get upgraded to 20 megs boardband for just £2 a month extra. Great, but for two minor points. Firstly due to the fact that I've been a long standing customer of telewest...no sorry blueyonder...no thats not right, Virgin media, thats it.
Because I've had cable boardband for some 7 years, now the modem which they supplied and still own, is only capable of 10 megs. In order to use 20 megs, I need a new modem. That will be £25 pounds please!
Err no thanks. The second reason is that I'm not able to use anything like that sort of bandwidth. Most web sites seem to limit me and since I don't really do any heavy downloading, I'm not sure I even need 10 megs.
I'll wait and see what sort of bandwidth I use when I finaly get my joost beta (hint, hint), but I'm thinking 4 megs is more than enough for me.
