Some stats

Some stats for you.
I was going through this web sites web control panel
today, so here are some stats for the site.
On average I get about 800 visits in a month.
April of this year was my best month with nearly 1000 visits (985 to be precise)
So far this month I've had 164 visits.
On average this month the peak hour for activity is 3 am! This seems surprising until you look at the next item!
Of the top 30 visitors, 23 are search engine crawlers! The good news about this is the site seems to be well indexed in all the major search engines. The other good news is the top 5 visitors all seem to be 'real' visitors (okay number 3 is my own IP address, and number 8 is my works IP address).
50% of the searches that hit my site involve the string rapidwaver (yay!) However less than 1% of the visits are from search pages, most hits are by direct request.
Interestingly the 15th most common user agent string in the web logs is Nokia6682/2.0 (3.01.1) SymbianOS/8.0 Series60/2.6 Profile/MID, so I have at least 1 mobile reader!
Now for some other stats
My blog now has 180 posts, over a period of 957 days. Which means on average I post every 5.1 days. In fact most of 2005 is empty of posts and there are large gaps in 2006, hence the rather low average!
And one final stat.
My script frenzy script stands at 3129 words, which is behind schedule, I should be on 4002 words at least by now!
