There are not to many subjects that I agree with John
C. Dvorak, but this is one.
Please, please, please can we have some non-iPhone related Apple news. Anything I don't care, even if it's about Garage Band (which I've never used and probably never will).
The hype around the iPhone is just stupid now, I don't want to know that they arrived under armed guard in the US, or what the data plan will be or even how long the battery life is going to be. As I've mentioned in the past my requirements for a mobile phone are simple, I should be able to make and receive calls on it and the battery should last more than 10 days. Thats all I care about.
To be fair to Apple they are not the source of the hype. All they did was to 'put a bit of blood in the water'. The mac websites and blogs are the ones that started the feeding frenzy! I wonder if Apples marketing department has any idea things would get this crazy.
All I can say is roll on Saturday when it will all be over, but of course it won't be. Then we will have endless reviews and gripes about it!
I'm going to retreat to a distant mountain top monastery will not internet connection until October. Then it will nearly be time for Leopard to be released. Now that is something I'm interested in!
