Okay this is my current fiction reading pile. Yes it’s a little bit large! But I just seem to have got out of the habit of reading fiction of late. I think the problem is that there is too much to distract me a lot of the time. The last time I got a book finished was when I was on holiday in Dorset, which was last year!. There, removed from distractions like the internet and TV (mostly, the signal was very poor), I ploauded through half of a Ian M Banks novel and the whole of Peter Hamiltons ‘The Neutronium Alchemist’. This adds up to about 1500 pages in 13 days!
Not bad going. So I’m setting my self the task of getting through this pile....maybe, by the end of the year. There is a lot more pages here than 1500 but then at this point I’ve got something like 320 odd days to do it in. Shouldn’t be too much of a problem...I hope.
