The play gournd spat continues

Oh, dear. Grown men acting like 6 year olds in the play ground!
Oh dear.
I’ve bloged about this before, and since it still effects me I’m going to again (again probably).
In my original post I said that I tended to believe Virgins side of the story and I was on there side (I’m still a virgin subscriber), but with this, I’m not so sure now.
They failed to reach agreement at the negotiation table, okay fair enough this can happen, if one side is being unreasonable (which is still what I believe) or if both sides don’t really want to agree with each other. But is setting this in the courts a good idea? I think not.
Can this sort of thing get settled in court, well I guess it can, virgin can afford some good lawyers so I guess technically there is a chance of success. But is it a good idea, I don’t think so. I fact I think the BSkyB spokesman hit the nail on the head when he said they would "defend itself vigorously should Virgin Media decide to extend its PR campaign to the courts". Yes I think this an attempt to “win hearts and minds” by Virgin and I’ve got to say, I’m not impressed at all by it.
As I said before I don’t have a choice so I’m staying with Virgin, but if I didn’t then things might be a little different.
I strongly agree with the National consumer councils comment about the two “behaving like children”.
Anyway, how am I surviving with out Sky, very well in fact. Instead of watching the Simpsons while I eat dinner, which pretty could eat up 2 hours between 7 and 9, I would tend to watch what came after the Simpsons too, I’m actually doing more useful stuff with my evening. I now just watch the BBC 6 o’clock news for half an hour and then get on with some work. So you could say I’ve befitted from this!
