Oh dear, after one of the most 'political' f1
sessions every we have this.
McLaren lost the constructors championship the wrong way (in the courts) are they sure they want to win the drivers championship this way.
Would Lewis Hamilton want to win this way...really? I would hope not.
Yes he has done a fantastic job this year, in his first year to get with in shouting distance of the title. But mistakes where made in this last race, some by Lewis him self on that first lap and some by the team with the gearbox problems. Small mistakes maybe, but it's on such small mistakes that championships are won and lost. It's the nature of the f1 sport. Don't want that sort of pressure then find a lower pressure job, maybe shelf stacking in a supermarket!
I would like to have seen Hamilton and McLaren get the title, but it didn't happen this year. Hamiltons clear natural talent is not suddenly going to disappear and next year he will have the experience of this year behind him, which can only make him a better racer.
So take it on the chin, remember your British and we lots of experience at losing by now
, put the lawyers back in the box
and spend the money on the members of your team
that really count, the drivers and the
mechanics. And then maybe next year it will
happen on, where it should on the track, not in
the courts.
