New year, new start?

So it is the beginning of a new year, is this going
to be a new start on this web site?
The new year is traditionally the time for new starts
and this year that is true for me wether I like it or
not!
The reason for this is that my full time contract at the Museum ended with the year, so I am once again looking for a new job (thats twice in 12 months!) And of course now is exactly the wrong time to be looking for a new job. Yes sure there appear to be lots of jobs out there, but there are lots (and lots) of other people looking for these jobs as well.
The net result of 2 months of me looking for jobs is 34 applications and exactly one interview! Well technically it was two because I got through to the second stage, but nothing after that.
I think it will be some time before I’m back in full time employment, however bills still keep on coming in so I need to find some way of paying them. So I’ve started to put a few plans in place for making money through the web. Now I know that I’m not going to get anywhere near supporting my self with these schemes (yet) but at least they might start to bring some cash in.
The first of these is the re-lunching of one of my other websites, combat wombat. This site is becoming a store front for my new range of cute and armed t-shirts.
Like I said I’m going to be able to retire on this, but hopefully I will get something back from this and it is just the beginning...
Other changes for me include, switching back to my MacPro, for the moment anyway. Sadly no one wanted to buy my machine on e-bay in the run up to Christmas, I guess it was the wrong time to try and sell it. January will not be much better either so I will continue to use the machine and then maybe sell in February or March or when I run out of money from other sources!
I will of course be blogging here about some of the other projects I have when they are closer to being ready, so as ever watch this space...I mean feed!
