Yes it is nearly that nanowrimo time of year again. So it's time for me to start getting ready for the crazy month of November.
I may have already mentioned this, but this years story will be set in the same world as my script frenzy entry this year. So I've got a very rough world in mind and a very basic idea of the plot. Thats it so far, but I'm not to worried about that, I was in the same situation last year and that seemed to turn out okay.
No what really worries me is the lack of writing I've done this year, there was script frenzy and this blog and that's about it! If I'm going to be at a point in 4 1/2 years or so, to decide if I can make a living off this writing business, I'm going to have to do more!
So I decided to do a bit of warming up before nanowrimo this year. Each week I'm asking one of my friends to provide me with a story title or idea and I have two days to make that in to 2000 word short story.
The first idea was last week, and the idea was a story about Merlin the wizard. Okay that's not to much of a challenge through I, but it was. I missed the dead line by 4 days (5 if you count to nights edits) but I did come up with a little story.
It's not great, I know, but the idea here is to get me writing again. You can find all of the challenges as I do them here. This weeks story is going to be a bit more of a challenge. The title was picked by mr Floppy Lion him self, Frederick Q Splinge, and boy is an interesting one.
