What will we get on Monday?

Okay, I’m finally going to cave in and give my list
of predictions for Mondays keynote speach from Steve
Jobs.
I know this sort of speculation is totally useless
and all I’m doing is passing on the rumors that I
think are going to be correct. Unsurprisingly I don’t
have any contacts inside Apple or any inside
information.
So with that in mind here we go...
1) The 3G iphone, will be launched.
This has to happen since there are none or very few of the old iPhones left in stock any where. I think the photos shown on crunchgear are of the real thing. I don’t think it will have GPS.
2) That is the only hardware announcement we will get.
This is a developer conference so hardware is a bit out of place here. I think the only reason the iPhone is happening here is because it has to and I think the focus will be on the new software for it.
3) No tablet mac.
There never will be a tablet format mac while Steve Jobs in charge!
4) 10.6 early announcement
At first I was sure this wouldn’t happen, but now I’m not so sure. As I said it is a developer conference so this would naturally fit here, even if it is in danger of getting overshadowed by the iPhone. Also unless Apple has some new big software release to announce I can’t see what else would fit.
5) Updates to .mac
Long anticipated (and needed!) I’m about to open a new .mac account since I now have two mac’s again and the syncing almost makes it worth the cost. If something else was thrown in for no extra cost that would be great.
Thats about it! I don’t see any updates to iLife or iWork coming, that would fit in with the software theme, however they are consumer type packages which don’t really fit here. Yes there might be some new totally unexpected software package release, but I have no idea what the could be (which is why it’s unexpected!)
So thats my predictions, only about another 36 hours to see how right (or more likely wrong) I am!
