A quick post about my latest web site update and
things in the pipeline.
So keen eyed visitors to this site might have noticed
that yesterday some new pages appeared.
I have been writing again and I’ve finished another story.
This particular story, Machines, started life as a ‘warm up’ story for nanowrimo, but it’s length grew to the point where it just wouldn’t fit in to the sort of short story/ flash length I was looking for. The idea got filed and I started this version (which is still only the first draft) only a few months ago, this makes it almost the quickest full story I’ve written. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.
Anyway, the story is up and ready for reading now.
So what’s next?
Well, you may have also noticed that last years nanowrimo story is still not finished. I hit the 50k target and then pretty much stopped. So that’s the next thing to get finished. I was sort of planning to put the 20k words or so I think it needs to be finished in over December, this didn’t happen. I’m not going to set a real target for finishing this now. I’d kind of like to have it finished by March, so I can have a clear run at this years script frenzy, but if it’s not then...well I’ll leave it during April.
After than I really want to get the ‘Shadow of the citadel’ idea finished. I’ve started this idea, 3 maybe 4 times and I really think it is time I got it done.
After that? Well I’d like to start to re-write one of my nanowrimo stories, since they are all still stuck at the first draft and then of course there is this years nanowrimo!
All of this has to fit in with my other web work (more news of which should be coming soon!) and finding another job!
