The London trip

It's that time of the year again. It's time for the the boys annual trip to London.
Yes it was time the time of year for the boys annual trip to London. Well I say annual, but we skipped it last year. Anyway to celebrate Kirs's birthday (this Friday he hits the big 40) Me, Kris, Giles, Brad and Fre hit the streets of London. Since only one of us (Giles) could make a decision, he planed the whole event.

We followed the normal plan and after an early start (7:30 on Saturday!) headed for Langley station where left the cars and took to the train. Andrew (aka Fred) wanted to get some snaps of Floppy Lion, by various London land marks, so he was equipped camera and soft toy.

We did spend lots of time there, and I didn't bother with any more pictures as my camera phone isn't the best (as you can see). To be honest, it wasn't any thing like I expected and I did enjoy it a lot more than I thought I would. After this a quick lunch at the five star luxury of a bugger king, we hit Totenham Court Road. But with it bring national don't buy any thing day I didn't, despite being tempted by some very cheep 512 meg flash drives. Fred (aka Andrew) was tempted and brought a Digital Video camera (so expect Floppy Lion: The Movie, in a cinema near you soon!) Kris also succumbed and brought a new harddrive. After that we made a quick dash out to tower records, only to find it's just another virgin mega store (just twice as big as any thing in Bristol). Another quick tube journey and one fight through horrendous crowds later (I kid you not!) we arrived at Europe's first apple store. apple
Mmmm...Apple Store...Gaarrrr
It was very apple, very bright and minimal, with every kind of mac there is. but I have to say that I think Apple as lost it with the new design of the iMac, there is just to much white. After capturing me on Video. Andrew (aka Fred) and Giles (aka Mr Jibbs) proceeded to use Imove to do horrible things to my face! Up the glass stairs we took in the tail end of a talk on ITunes after which Fred (aka Andrew) got a snap of Floppy Lion giving a talk on the wonders of a mac!
We avoided the crowd on the way back by using the tube station on the other side of the road and headed back for home. We stopped at white city on the way back, for more more photo call for Mr Floppy.

I
t was back to Langley, The second crummiest railway station, with it's rats and all (second only to east action, which looks as if it's come straight off the set of some post third world word movie). A quick stop a Reading services to fill up and back to Bristol, where it started raining on us, oh hum!
Any way, apart from food and tickets etc. I was the only person not to buy any thing, so I kept the spirit of national don't buy anything day alive!
