Virgin TV in BSkyB court action: "Virgin Media launches a High Court action against BSkyB in a programming row between the UK broadcasters."
(Via BBC News.)
Yes Virgin have decided to say childish and drag the
whole stupid Sky 1 spat through the courts.
Deep sigh! Last time I'd hoped that they where going to be sensible and not go for the whole courts thing, but no, the lawyers have got there way. I'm sure the resulting court room battle will do nobody any good (apart from the lawyers, who will get there nice fat cheques!)
I've not got to much more to say on this issue at all (so this is likley to be the last post), but one last thing I've noticed.
Each time the BBC news page covers this story, at the bottom they have the little bit saying that...
"Virgin Media was formed from the merger of cable TV firm NTL and Virgin Mobile. The firm's biggest shareholder is entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson.
BSkyB is run by media mogul Rupert Murdoch's son James."
...mmm interesting. I wonder which side the BBC are on!
