So now it's all over how did things turn out?
Very differently to the way I expected it for sure. When the words got flowing I just sort of when with the flow, so maybe it's no surprise that things came out not quite the way I planned.
For a start my original idea had a lot more Franesca's story during the actual theft of the crystal. There was also going to be more of the chase, through more different worlds. The whole thing was going to have a much more surreal feel to it (okay so an unexplained aardvark is fairly odd). The Barry and Susan characters where not going to have such a big part I wasn't planning to have hinted romance in it, but there you go.
There are lots of bits I that I'm proud of, particularly some of the dialogue (not all of it!). I always through dialogue was harder to write, but I found it quite easy. The action sequences I found much harder. It was for this reason, that there was less action than I'd planed.
Overall I think I'm happy the way things came out (I've not read the whole thing through yet). Maybe when the rewrite comes I'll see what I think.
Anyway thats about it, so barring any last thoughts, this will be my last post here (no it won't now I've moved the blog!)
