A Big Day

Yesterday was a big day for me...
It was a very big day for me yesterday, for two
reasons.
Reason 1. I finally finished my story, The Monastery. This is a story I've been working on for more than 10 years now. Now this doesn't mean that I've been working on it day and night for the last 10 years, but over that time, I've been working on and off (mostly off) 4 different versions of the story.
Using my enforced down time between jobs, I finally put a big push on to get the thing finished and it is now done. Despite the fact it has been worked on for 10 years, this is still very much a first draft. This 4th version is in fact the first version that was actually completed.

Reason 2. The big one! I'm back in work, or at least will be next week.
As of Tuesday I will working as a PC/techonolgy support guy. The place I will be working at is currently winding down due to an up coming move to London, so it's only a 6 month contract, but it is work. Also since the place is winding down and there are few people working there, I will not only be supporting the PC's (a some Macs!) but any sort of technology they have. I'm looking forward to this, since I do like variety in my work and I do love technology!
Some people may say it's a step down, from development to support, but I don't. This will be a great place to work for me, it's close to home so I can walk to work, it looks like there will be a good variety of work there and it's close to the city center so I can do things in my lunch break.
This is going to be a good thing, okay in 6 months I'm back to looking, but that currently fits in with my plans.
