So what exactly is a Nanowrimo?
Well the Nanowrimo is a writing ‘competition’ held
each year during November. The idea is to produce a
50000 word novel in just 30 days. I say it’s a
competition, but in fact there is no judging and not
prizes (just the satisfaction of finishing your story
(hopefully!)) The event also raises money to build
children's libraries in Laos.
As you might guess I’ve blogged quite a bit about my trials
and tribulations during the month of November these entries
can be found here

My first attempt and this crazy challenge and I'm happy to
say that I made the deadline with one day and 1591 words to
spare!
I've moved the content from my old site so that's why if
you've gone to route-notes.net you've arrived here! All of
the blog entries have been put in to my main blog under,
guess what the nanowrimo category.
2007
My second year on this madness.
It was a very chaotic November this time around and that is
reflected in the story which was changed 2 days and about
2500 words in. The second story also shows signs of the
chaos of the month. It is far less polished than last years
(which is saying something), but as they always say, it's
only a first draft. And it's going to take more than a few
drafts to get this one right. You can still however read it
here.

One year later (and what a year it’s been for me!) and I’m
still here and more importantly still doing nanowrimo! This
year I changed my mind lots of times about what the story
was going to be and in fact it was only with about 20 hours
to go till the start, that I finally and definitely settled
on one of the ideas. Lets hope that this year my November
is less chaotic than last year, but consider what the rest
of the year has done to me, I think I’m for a wild ride!
