The Ice Fortress
...well maybe not! After two days of
working on the Ice Fortress, I decided that my heart was
really in that story so I changed to my back up story. This
for the moment at least called...
The Object.
This is very much a working title and since I've put myself
two days behind on the word count, I'm not going to worry
any more about it now!
So what is the object going to be all about, well it's
about an alien artifact found orbiting a gas giant in a
distant solar system. The basic idea has come from sources
including the original Halo video game, the films Aliens
and Starship troopers and the New Doctor Who novel
Parasite. So you could say I've not really written anything
for this and while the basic idea is not original, I think
my take on it here is different enough to make it
interesting.
As before I will be inserting a few pop culture references
in to the story, but probably not as much as I did for,
last years story, The
Route
I will be posting the completed story some time in
December, but this year the frantic pace of my life has
prevented me from posting every day as I would have liked
to, but hay hoe.
Oh and by the way I did it again this year!
