It's my life's ambition to actually get one of my stories in to print, to become an author. Okay so I'm an author now (after all I've written some stories), but for me to really be an author people should read my work. This page is the first step. Maybe one day I'll get some thing printed.
The stories collected here are the few that I've actually finished. For each one you read here, there are maybe four or five in the ideas stage and maybe two or three that sit on my hard drive with the first page written but nothing else. These idea's and fragments can be found on my ideas page. I write very slowly (some times a year and a half to finish a story). It's not that I spend hours agonizing over each word it's just that I do fell inspired to write that often.
Below you'll find a bit about the story, written in true cover 'blurb' style (so it may not have much to do with the story at all!). Below this there are links to a short introduction and a much longer after word, giving the back ground to the story, when I wrote it, why I wrote it etc. etc. The stories are available both in HTML format reading or PDF for off line reading. All of the works here are released under a creative commons attribution, non-commerical, no derivative license. This means you may distribute my work freely provided it's not used commercially and I am credited as the author.
Thanks for coming up with the title of this part of the site must go to a friend. We where talking one day about a painting by the fantasy artist Rodeny Mathews, in it was one of his odd shaped worlds (if you seen one of his paintings you'll know what I mean). I said at the top of the world, you would be at 90 degrees to the local plane of gravity (total rubbish I know). My friend then said 'well thats better than being at 90 to reality'. And as they say the rest is history.
So here are the stories.
