Script changes

As I predicted might happen last time,
I’ve changed my mind about this years script
frenzy script.
Yes, I’ve changed my mind!
The original idea was to be a film noir type of script using the Alex Hunt character, but I just couldn’t ‘get my teeth’ in it. So last night I started trawling through my various ideas files and came up with...er two ideas.
Now of course with the ideas fresh in my head, I had to get them down on paper...er...screen. I really shouldn’t do these sorts of things at just before midnight! Anyway some time later, the clock showed just before 1, I had the basics of two ideas.
Dam two ideas! They are like busses, almost, you wait ages for one then you get two of them at once!
There is no clear winner in my head at the moment, but I’m sure one will emerge as I work on them.
Both ideas, have at their core, the same basic idea as my original Alex Hunt idea, a small group of people under siege from something. Apart from that the two ideas are very different.
The first idea is for a sci-fi action film based around a passenger star line stuck in hyperspace and under attack by...well something odd and nasty. The working title for this one is hyperspace pirates, which kind of gives away what the odd nasty things are!
The other idea is more of horror/tesion pice set in an isolated manor house in the middle of a thunder storm. Mmmm, I know it sounds a bit cliched, but hey this is script frenzy! The idea is doesn’t have to make the worlds best film, I just need to get at least 100 pages of script from it.
So I now have 4 and bit days to refine the ideas and pick one of them. Thats going to be fun!
